“Foreigners come ashore”
The theme of the weekly photo challenge this friday is “foreign“.
Our world is getting smaller, meaning that it actually gets bigger
many of them we thought was foreigners or perhaps even enemies
they turn out often on closer acquaintance
to be quite reasonable and pleasant people
with equally kind of “silly” ideas that we have ourself.
It is a double-edged issue
where tolerance and openness are some of the main ingredients
where both the guest and the host, can learn something
as my father said when I left my childhood home as 16 year old
“Remember you can learn something everywhere, if only, how you think it shouldn’t be”.
Sometimes live the foreigner in ourselves..?
