Travel Theme Up

08 23

With inspiration from Ailsa’s excellent blog
take a look the challenge here “Where’s my backpack
this’s my version of the theme “Up

Okay, all non-danes gets a good laugh now..!

These 3 photos are my contribution to the theme “Up”
in danish it is called “Himmelbjerget”
translated into english it means “Sky Mountain”
a sort of danish statue of liberty
it’s a large symbol of the Danish Constitution
the foot of the tower is 147 meters above sea level.

As a little boy I thought it was fantastic high
I visited it for the first time as 5 year old
my father’s father had invited to the Constitution Day
and I got a little walking stick as a gift from him
there was printed “Himmelbjerget” on it
– and I was proud.

the photos are from 2005

Jeg har ikke tal på hvor mange norske “banditter”
der har “drillet” mig med Himmelbjerget gennem årene…. 🙂 🙂 😉

Danes and norwegians are a brother people – we are so close friends that we love to tease each other – all the time – I could write kilometers of thing where we danes teases norwegians – this danish landmark “Himmelbjerget” which is translate from danish into “Heaven Mountain” is 147 meters high and norwegians teases us that we call it a mountain… 😉
