Breaking the waves

02 44

The Irsh Sea breaking the waves.

Inspirations are a kind of shimmering colors in the brain
where do they come from – perhaps from everywhere
a walk by the sea on the move with broken waves
at this time of year then there aren’t many colors around
a very suitable place to clear the brain during breaks from working in front of the laptop.

On these walks often meet both writers, painters and other artists
who declare that these surroundings are wonderful inspiration
when they gather energy – during their breaks from their creativity
this in itself is inspiring.

30 tanker om “Breaking the waves

  1. If these irish cliffs were replaced with sand dunes, the picture might as well have been one of the sea at The Danish Westcoast.
I love the roar of breaking waves anywhere.
In fact I love ‘my’ nearby Westcoast more in the autumn and in the winter, when Nature’s Force at it’s finest reminds me and mankind in generel of our own fragility.

    I love your picture!
I can almost hear the roaring of the waves and smell the salty sea water.

Som Dirch Passer fremførte engang: “Ruuuuuuul, små bølger! Ruuuuul!” 😀

    • Apropos:
A little bit Off Topic. Sorry! –

And then, of course, I must not forget to remind the World of another way of breaking the waves.
The famous danish film director Lars von Trier’s “Breaking the Waves”.

Breaking the Waves won the Grand Prix at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival, and three awards at the 1996 European Film Awards including: Film of the Year, International Film Journalists Award, and European Actress of the Year (Watson). Emily Watson was nominated for the 1996 Academy Award for Best Actress, the 1997 British Academy of Film and Television Arts award, the National Society of Film Critics prize, and the European Film Award for Best Actress.

      • Troels von Trier is a true original – In a good way – and in a way I appreciate him and his films much – the reason is surely that I am “a little” tired of the political right-wing and their “our-culture-ism” who doesn’t like Troels von Trier… 🙂

        – and tired of “the popes of culture” in their self-important similarity world”,
they are afraid of those who don’t do “business as usually”… 🙂

It’s funny how we people are different in terms of being the most “efficient” – I am less efficient in the afternoon – but in evening, night and morning, I am sharp and very fresh… 🙂 😉
