A day in my life

Okay what did “Le Drake Noir” do to day..?

The answer isn’t blowing in the wind at all – he didn’t do anything except this.

The weekly photo challenge with the theme “a day in your life”.

Smoke and mirrors

00 90

An evening at the high speed smoking mirror.

Just as a blind perceive the world around them differently than a sighted
so perceived the world quite differently respectively daylight and artificially light too.

The combination of “smoking water” (fog) and illumination creates mirrors.

Road travel can be a big challenge for all drivers under these conditions
nothing to be panic about but very attention demanding.

This theme is really a travel “smoking” theme
with inspiration from Ailsa’s excellent blog
take a look the challenge here “Where’s my backpack
this’s my version of the theme “Smoke’n mirrors”.

North Sea shows its teeth

00 91

Timid men prefer the calm of despotism instead of the tempestuous sea of liberty
(Thomas Jefferson *1743-1826* the third US-president *1801-09*)

The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible,
but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore
(Vincent van Gogh)

Spring in the Pyrenees

00 94

Snowy peaks attracts many adventurers
so they challenge themselves, fate, mountain and much more
to experience the feeling of freezing fingers, red eyes and dripping noses.

The alternative for all those with patience is to wait halfway up the mountain,
waiting for spring – so the snowy peaks comes down by itself – as liquid.

Like the spring in the Pyrenees, yeah okay in 2012.

Judgement of taste

00 99

In many ways at many levels
there are interest groups, which want to tell others how the world should look like
they are called “better judgement of taste” as they are often self-appointed groups.

Advice, guidance, suggestions, inspiration and so on are always desirable
the problem is when all these sensible things become laws and regulations
determined by a small group of self-appointed arbiters of taste.

A man of great common sense and good taste
meaning thereby a man without originality or moral courage
(George Bernard Shaw)

The majority who use high-speed roads have an opinion
about the buildings located along these highways
there are probably almost as many opinions as there are drivers – in Denmark too.

A group of danish architects will create a catalog of how and what
there may be built along all danish high-speed roads
and had this catalog raised to current danish legislation
funnily enough, so all their own creations are approved in their catalog.
whatever danish road users think
their anger are solely against non architect-designed buildings.

The main cause – this elder plane – a beautiful Boing 727
placed far away from any airports but close to the high speed road

An inventive consultative bureau within communication
uses the plane as an eye catcher at their headquarters
the plane is connected to the main building
as a plane is associated with arrival and departure normally
in the plane there’re some exciting unconventional meeting rooms.

The hope sprouts strongly for the future now goes toward lighter and warmer times.

No it isn’t a local polar bear, without rest for a dip
but “only” a lonely fitter who works hard
for getting the bathing jetty ready for the season.

Yesterday, it was very sunny, slightly windy and very cold
– the rays of the sun had great influence on the light of photo angles.
