Traffic jam

The german language has the perfect word for it – “stau” – pronounced “staaauuu”
everyone has their mission “in life” and it is not usual to count on waiting time
…..
a life-wise elderly relative claimed once, many years ago
that one should never marry a person
before had tried to keep in a queue with he or her
for at least 3 hours on a german motorway an awful hot day of july
if you could handle it – then it became a lifelong relationship.

Trying to settle a problem with oratory is like attempting
to unsnarl a traffic jam by blowing horns” (unknown author)

Once I saw a calculation for Copenhagen traffic jam – so much waste of time there and it’s the same all over Europe and the rest of the world too – agree with you…

  1. Love the picture and the wise words…who needs sessions with the priest…get them in stau on the first day of school holidays…that will save time any way you look at it. 😉

  2. Sometimes waiting happens for a special reason, like the elder wisely pointed out. Waiting is a fact of life, I wonder why people hate it so. We wait to grow up, we wait to have a baby, we wait to achieve or accomplish a goal. It’s what we do with the waiting time that matters. Hating it won’t make it go away, neither will blowing the horn 😉 Nice capture and wise words to go with it, Drake.
