The german language has the perfect word for it – “stau” – pronounced “staaauuu”
everyone has their mission “in life” and it is not usual to count on waiting time
…..
a life-wise elderly relative claimed once, many years ago
that one should never marry a person
before had tried to keep in a queue with he or her
for at least 3 hours on a german motorway an awful hot day of july
if you could handle it – then it became a lifelong relationship.

“Trying to settle a problem with oratory is like attempting
to unsnarl a traffic jam by blowing horns” (unknown author)
…..
That’s a good one ! ! !

Maybe there’s a bit truth in it… 😉
I race to work every day in a senario similar to your well captured Jam. Sigh! _Resa xo

Thanks really appreciates – I believe you’re very calm in the traffic jam… 🙂 😉
Yes, I am calm.
It has been excuciatingly hot in Toronto. So everyone has the car windows up and the AC on.
I see how fast a tank of gas gets used up while I sit in a jam staying cool.
The more and more gas we are using to stay cool, the hotter it is getting outside. It seems man is working very hard against himself and earth. Hugs_Resa
I think you have a very good point… 🙂
I think the unknown author is right…..

Thanks glad you agree with me
– I believe you know this very well from your area too… 😉
Just imagine the size of the accumulated manhours wasted by people stuck in traffic jams and the associated intellectual waste – I hate them.

Once I saw a calculation for Copenhagen traffic jam – so much waste of time there and it’s the same all over Europe and the rest of the world too – agree with you…
Good advice that relative of yours gave. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Thanks really appreciate your words… 🙂
“stau” in Romanian means: I’m sitting or I live in… 🙂
#.melanie
I didn’t know that, so it’s a little bit familar to the german language at least here… 🙂
Love the picture and the wise words…who needs sessions with the priest…get them in stau on the first day of school holidays…that will save time any way you look at it. 😉

Thanks so glad you like it, really appreciate your words… 😉
Your are welcome!!! 🙂

Sometimes waiting happens for a special reason, like the elder wisely pointed out. Waiting is a fact of life, I wonder why people hate it so. We wait to grow up, we wait to have a baby, we wait to achieve or accomplish a goal. It’s what we do with the waiting time that matters. Hating it won’t make it go away, neither will blowing the horn 😉 Nice capture and wise words to go with it, Drake.
