Ski jumping is a great alpine sports in Europe
mostly among people from the alpine countries and fins
the norwegians, czechs and people from the Balkan area
jump out with “planks” on their feet too
but they are so most active in cross-country skiing and fast downhill skiing.
Here in Innsbruck the main ingredient (snow) is missing at this time of year.

As high as it goes….even without snow! Talking about skiing, people have tried to “tame” me to mountain skiing through the years but the click hasn’t happened. A person can come up with so many different reasons why NOT, walking down a high slope in Norway carrying skis while everyone else is just buzzing by gracefully. 😀

When we danes come to Norway during the ski season – so they always start to laugh even before we get skis on… 🙂 🙂 😉
I was I guess pretty much the only Latvian in the crowd and they just perceived me as a black sheep got lost among the true skiers 😀
Unfortunately, I have only been in Latvia 2 times and both times only in Riga (a beautiful city) – is Latvia flat like Denmark ..? 🙂 🙂
Well, the highest point in Latvia is reaching 311.5 meters above the sea level – I think that says it all. 🙂
The highest “mountain” in Denmark is 174m – the 2nd and 3th are 173m and 172m – we are lowlanders… 🙂 🙂
