Much of what we perceive as boredom,
is perhaps due to our own will that it should be this way
or unwillingness to make changes
boring or not, everything is in the eye of the beholder

inspiration doesn’t hit those who have eyes closed.

“What makes life dreary is the want of a motive”
(George Eliot – british author)
“We come from nothing,
we are going back to nothing
in the end what have we lost..?
Nothing..!”
(Monty Python – any one who don’t know who they are..?)
Many call this city boring, many inhabitants do it too
if we think a city is dull, it isn’t the city which is it
but the inhabitants and guests of the city.
Who says there are no boring tourists and inhabitants ..?

Thanks a lot, really appreciates… 🙂
I am interested to know more about the first photo.

It’s from the county of Greater Manchester in northern England – where you can sail direct from Leeds to Liverpool (or Manchester) – some places you can choose both canal waterway or natural water stream – this is natural… 🙂
I did not know that this existed in England. So interesting.
There are a lot of places in England for this kind of traveling… 🙂
Agree with you. Hoping I am the exception to the boring city I live in 😀
#.madhu
You know you well enough to know you’re not among the boring part of the city… 😉
interesting! 🙂
#.soumyav
Really appreciate you do… 🙂
What a great perception to this topic…gives me something to ponder today.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate your words… 🙂
You are correct. Life is what you make of it and you might as well have a good time playing! 😉
#.storysmitten
Thanks glad you agree – really appreciate your words… 🙂
Wow, what a great reminder. I loved the line “inspiration doesn’t hit those with their eyes closed”. Although I took it in a more metaphorical sense. Really something to think about. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks a lot so glad you find it interesting – really appreciates… 🙂
It looks like the water could go right in through the front door in that first photo. Where is that?

You have the best pics with your thoughts.;-) 🙂 That city in the second pic looks very appealing.
Well, I’m certainly not bored, in any city, and I’m lucky enough to live in what I think is a very exciting city. _Resa

We must understand that we have the responsibility
to create the atmosphere we want, I think you do… 🙂 😉
My life is mine to do what I want with, and I’m having the best time!!! 🙂
I also understand there are many born on this earth whose lives are not so fortunate as ours. Some are born into the most miserable of realities. That is not something they are responsible for.
In some detached atmosphere, I love them, but cannot help them.
Life is selective in its organic presentation.
Oh Le Drake, do I make sense to you? _Resa xo
Yeah it make sentese, a lot – you’re right… 🙂
🙂
A lot of wisdom in this post! I agree with what you wrote. Like Margaret, me too, I appreciate particularly “inspiration doesn’t hit those with their eyes closed”. However it is not easy to have always this attitude towards life and often we need a motive to go on… most of us are so weak (surely me!) 😦
Ciao ciao Le drake, I like very much your blog..

Thanks a lot, so glad you find it interesting – really appreciate your words… 🙂
Agree with you, it isn’t always easy – not at all… 🙂
Maybe sometimes we appreciate better the things that have been difficult to achieve than the things that have come (too) easy… 🙂 🙂

Agree with you – don’t live there only visiting, but I found it very interesting… 🙂
If we waiting for things being interesting,
we may have to wait very long,
at the point we need to be active too… 🙂
¡Muy interesante!

Places can’t be boring, right? And people are only boring when they stop being curious and living life to the full.
#.mflaherty
Waiting for a mood versus creating a mood
it is that we are sitting at the steering wheel
– unlike to sitting in the back seat of the bus… 🙂 😉
Don’t be so sure .. some inspiration comes in dreams too 😉 😀
#.paula
In a way I agree with you – but there are at least 2 ways of dreaming – dreams which push or pull you the way you want to follow – and dreams which push or pull you away from our “dream road”…. 🙂
ciao! there is no reason…with eyes wide shut or otherwise…as long as you reject boredom.
