“What if nothing exists and we’re all in somebody’s dream..?”
(Woody Allen – american director and “anti hero”)
…..
A day off in the very southeastern german natural area
pushes one to consider whether it is a dream or not
but the smell of a very sweaty mountain biker (me) is no dream.

The tiny word “if” is a dominant factor in our daily lives, maybe too much..?
.

If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build’em up with worn-out tools;
(A part of the poem “If” written by Rudyard Kipling – famous english poet)

Great post my friend. 🙂

Thanks really appreciates… 🙂 🙂
What a beautiful place to visit.
#.colline
Absolutly worth visiting… 🙂 🙂
It terrifies me to think that we are in someone’s dream. It always has I don’t know why!
#.jasmine
I can easily follow your thoughts – yeah it could be terrifying and it could be the opposite – unfortunately so we never know which until afterward… “speculatively icon”
exactly!
Yeah that’s one of the reasons why the old danish philosopher Sören Kierkegaard claimed “You live your life forward and understand it backward”… 🙂
Wuau Kierkegaard! It’s probably the only danish studied at school in Italy… I remember him as a bit pessimist, isn’t he? 🙂
Yeah a lot of danish writers, painters, sculptors and so on – visit Italy in their youth for inspiring education…. 🙂
I do not think Kierkegaard was pessimistic, but he was very pragmatic – he believed in solutions of conflict – rather than conflict for the conflict’s sake… 🙂
LOL Like that!
It is said that old people are wiser than younger – probably it has nothing to do with age – they have just been given several more upshot lists… 🙂 😉
LOL LOVE IT! LOLL
The czech forest Šumava is very beautiful! Love the first pic too.

Thanks a lot, glad you like it – really appreciates
– and agree with you about Šumava… 🙂 🙂
I know and like the poem of Kipling! Wonderful pictures as usually, Drake, you’re great!
About this: “The tiny word “if” is a dominant factor in our daily lives, maybe too much..?”, yes, I believe it is a dominant factor too much… unfortunately. Too much ties, duties, lack of freedom.
Only in my heart I can do anything I like and I’m free to be what I want.
“The smell of a very sweaty mountain biker” is no dream but it’s still natural 😉
#.laura
I like Kipling too… 🙂
Thanks a lot really appreciate your much too kind words… 🙂
Don’t know if the smell of a very sweaty mountain biker is natural..? “lol lol” 😉
Sometimes, if we visit places later in our lives, we see with greater clarity and appreciation than we would have if we’d visited early on in our youth. I like the Kipling quote too.

I believe you are totally right
– we all change during time, things looks different… 🙂
ciao! interesting that the ‘scent’ of sweat reminds you it is not a dream. ‘if’ is a supposition…i suppose that it is ‘all’ relative:) great shots and kipling rocks 🙂

Thanks a lot, so glad you like it – really appreciate your words… 🙂
After riding the bike for 2-3 hours – so it’s the bath which is the dream… 😉 😉
En un pueblo de al lado de mi ciudad tenemos una escalera exactamente igual a la de tu primera fotografía, ¡increíble!!, me gusta este post!!

Thanks a lot, really appreciate… 🙂
That kind of stairs are impressive – built with natural stone
and such giant work to do it… 🙂
I dreamed I was dreaming then woke up. Then I thought I was awake, but it turned out I was still dreaming, and woke up again. I thought for sure I was really awake, finally, but was still dreaming and woke up again. I woke up many times before I was really, truly awake.
Did this ever happen to you?
I believe I am awake now. _Resa xo
#.resa
How did you notice that you were awake,
maybe you wrote this comment in your sleep..? 🙂 😉 😉
Of course you would ask such a question! “lol” 🙂 🙂
I thought I was awake because I stopped waking up and went to work.
I hope I am awake, because I don’t want to do that work all over again.
Maybe I did write my comment in my sleep, after all I eat in my sleep sometimes.
I’ll wake up (or at least I think I wake up) and find, for example, an empty jar of newly purchased mustard with a licked clean spoon in it. “lol” 🙂
Of course I have to ask… 🙂 😉
Sigh! “lol” 😉
😉
If……..dreaming is so beautiful and it’s important to be possible ! Love your pictures, you are so great to choose the right ones ! 🙂

Thanks a lot, glad you like them – really appreciate your words… 🙂
You’re welcome my friend 🙂 !
🙂
OH!!! What is that gorgeous little motley black creature you have photographed?
It is so cute, I can barely contain myself! xo _Resa
#.resa
It is a german wild boar or I guess it’s german
– I met it on the german side of the border in the forest… 🙂 😉
♥♥♥♥♥♥ It is so beautiful! 🙂
I’m so happy I don’t eat animals.
I love all of them, and
“I don’t eat animals, and they don’t eat me
I don’t eat animals cause I love them, you see.
I don’t eat animals, I want nothing dead in me.”
– Melanie
I hope you still like me! Much love, respect and admiration- Resa xo
#.resa
About to like or dislike, isn’t a question of food… 😉
But plants in the food’s also dead… 🙂 🙂 🙂
Oh!!! I know. (Love) 🙂
I went through a period of time when I barely ate! I weighed about 90 Lbs. for 2 years.
I imagined carrots crying. “lol” 🙂
All I could do was stand in the garden and pick things and eat them as fast as possible. It was my raw diet.
I’ve learned to accept the fact that if I am to live, plants must die. “lol” 😎 🙂
Most of my friends eat meat, but I don’t want to.
I even cook chicken for them sometimes! (Free range, grain fed and anti-biotic free, of course)
However…..darling Drake, I have never cooked a duck!
So much love to you! _Resa xo
Never cooked a duck, stay that way… 🙂 🙂 😉
“Hahaha” I will never cook a duck! 🙂 😉 🙂
