Sound of silence

The Irish Sea – a hazy windy not so calm without noise morning.

Silence really can be deafening and roaring
probably it’s the most powerful weapon without a firearms license
it is argued that silence is equal to consent, but it isn’t always true
even the strongest words can be overthrown by ignoring demonstrative silence
but like all other tools thus requiring some skill to use it effectively too
so that from looking like a sign of weakness will be a “killing” combat arms.

This goes without saying that it isn’t relevant in genuine dialogue.

Not everyone talks in words
(Nema Al-Araby – egyptian poet and human rights activist)

Silence, too, can be torture
(Justina Chen – american writer)

Sometimes the unspoken or the silence between the lines should be the headline.

  1. So different, yet wonderful is the sound of silence in both photos, Drake…as different as in nature, all around us, in the situations of life we meet or the ones that meet us. Also in the words you have chosen and the pauses between the lines. Powerful and beautiful post.

  2. Wonderful photos and interesting post. Yes, I agree: silence can be a real torture or a killing weapon.. it depends on the circumstances; sometimes it’s the best way to communicate with someone, sometimes it’s something we need to stay alone with our soul… I like very much the song of Simon and Garfunkel! 😉 Have a nice evening.

  3. {{And the sign said, “The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
    And tenement halls”
    And whispered in the sounds of silence}}
    It’s one reason I love graf!
