Any who know the way..?

Community – share what..?

Groupings speak very often about community – it does gangs too
some find that they weren’t members of a community, but of a herd or flock
what is crucial is if it’s the manager’s or community’s interests which is the main target.

If we choose a community based on the fear of being alone
then we risk find ourselves in a crowd alone, where fear is the only common
and the community is solely on management conditions
real democracy in communities are often illusory
and a part of strategic scripts where our voices drown in democratic platitudes.

What good is it to get a ballot paper where the opportunities are planned beforehanded.

Strength lies in differences, not in similarities
(Stephen R. Covey – american author)

We live in a community of people
not so that we can suppress and dominate eachother
or make each other miserable
but so that we can better and more reliably satisfy all life’s healthy needs
(Wilhelm Reich – jewish austrian-american psychiatrist and psychoanalyst)

  2. OMG, that flock of cute sheep make me feel warm and cozy.
I totally think a community should en-better each other… not dominate each other!
😎 Have you checked out the sheep in row 5 center? -8) 😉

  7. Very, very true Drake. And communities also work well, when everybody participates instead of sitting on the sidelines and finding fault on those who are trying to build it up:-)

Thanks a lot, really appreciate your words – and agree everybody can support the community in one way or another – we don’t have to do the same all of us – it’s so-called synergies and creates synergistic effect for the benefit of us all… 🙂 🙂

  10. The great ironies of life is that we the masses elect or select our leaders in good faith, to speak and act in our best interest. And where probably some leaders start out with the best of intentions, instead it all ends up that the stakes are claimed by the few.
Ancient Greek democracy, held every one of the elected officials accountable at the end of their terms. Every action and penny spent had to be justified and accounted for. It is no surprise that this idea was done away with…
We are indeed all just a bunch of “cute” sheep or goats, a flock following our “shepherd”, guided by “dogs”, blind to our surroundings and often lulled into a false sense of security by our own numbers, and by the time we arrive at the slaughter house- the momentum propels us -we are sacrificed for the greater “good” of the few, of course.
    Wonderful post, Darke! Thank you!

Yeah you are right – but the choice we have, ain’t always real – .others have chosen our choices in advance – it is actually it isn’t the original greek model of democracy – most countries which claiming they have democracy – they has only majority voting dictatorship.. 🙂 🙂

  11. I absolutely agree with what yo’ve written and mainly with the quote “Strength lies in differences, not in similarities”. Very nice photo 😉 Have a nice Sunday!

  12. Excellent photo and thoughts. One of the annoying things about communities of sheep and cattle is that they will go right down the road or trail even when you’re trying to get through or past them. And if separated, they’ll keep running along baa-ing or moo-ing and in the way. 🙂
