Fire is a hot and wonderful waiter
but a rigorous and merciless master.
Love is often compared to fire
most of us know probably,
that it’s very suitable and amazing but dangerous heat
with some risk of being burned also.
A forest in autumn colors or a metropolitan in night light – both are looking hot too.
“We all live in a house on fire
no fire department to call; no way out
just the upstairs window to look out of
while the fire burns the house down with us trapped, locked in it”
(Tennessee Williams – american writer, who won the Pulitzer Prize twice)
*for Drama for A Streetcar Named Desire in 1948 and for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 1955*
The inspiration for these thoughts arised from the worth visiting blog “Ese’s Voice“
Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge Theme “Hot“.
Great post.

Tennessee Williams is my favorite writer from the last century. I’ve read most of his works…. and he’s hotter than fire! Le Drake, have you seen “Baby Doll from 1956 with Karl Malden, Carroll Baker, Eli Wallach ? I believe he wrote it as a screenplay.
Your captures are stupendous on this post Thank you!

Really agree with you about Tennessee WWilliams a great author… 🙂
Yeah I know it, a great movie
– it’s a tale about two rivals and a sensuous teenager virgin… 🙂
Hard to believe it was banned in its day, and all because she sleeps in a crib and sucks her thumb! Yeah, Love that Tennessee! 😉 He was so cool! 😎
Morality is a good standard, then double standards being twice as good or is it hypocrisy – much of the censorship that has been and still is – it’s basically very hypocritical – it has affected many composers, writers, directors and other artists throughout the ages… 🙂
I fear you are right Le Drake.
The arts are no stranger to hypocrisy, condemnation, superior attempts at controlling individuals & populations and more.
Art has to be criticized, as it is subject to individual opinion. Artists must cope with the adulation as well as the hatred.
Let me tell you, as a designer I have grown a very thick skin, nonetheless some opinions still hurt.
However, censorship is a beast unto itself!
I really like your intellect, but I may have said that before. 🙂
Part one, agree about censorship – and part two appreciate your words… 🙂
Love the physical dramatisation of heat! Sticks in the memory.

Dine billeder er meget flotte, Drake ♡
Da jeg læste:
“We all live in a house on fire

just the upstairs window to look out of

Nice post indeed. I’m afraid of fire, except for the fire of love 😉 🙂 … I’m a true latin from this point of view ehe eh eh

Thanks a lot, so glad you like it… 🙂
