Most people know to sail on the river Seine in Paris, either tried it or seen it
many fewer know of how the river flow towards the coast by the french english channel
this small ferry across not the river Mersey but the river Seine
not far from river mouth – more precisely at Jumièges.
The ruins of Jumièges Abbey.
In the distance you can see the remains of Jumièges Abbey extend towards the sky
built more than 1400 years ago, okay maybe abandoned
but still visited by thousands of tourists every year
maybe a bit of a paradox to link ruins with dignity
but in fact it is often the case that ruins still retain their dignity.
Maybe it teaches us that dignity comes from the inside..?
