The walking mill

G 33

Kolby Mill at the tiny danish island of Samsø “walking” through the year

.The inspiration comes from wonderful “Restlessjo” and her “Monday walk” themes
the last walk of 2014 turned upside down by letting the motive do the walking.

The mill was raised in 1899 on the island of Samsø, a mill family bought it second hand
after it before that time had grind grain in Netherlands for years.

Beautiful cliché

G 28

The sunset of this day as I saw it.

Daily prompt “Cliché
Clichés become clichés for a reason.
Tell us about the last time “a bird in the hand was worth two in the bush for you”

It shouldn’t come between us but translated the danish version called:
A bird in the hand is better than three on the roof

Everyone talks enthusiastically about beautiful sunsets and each is undoubtedly right.
A good friend said many years ago
all sunset and all women are beautiful, it’s all about the glow in the eye of the observer.

So a beautiful sunset, don’t have to be a cliché – even if we said it yesterday too.

Beauty will never become a cliché though it’s always be subjective.

End of road

G 29

An ‘only one’ way to the former fishing hamlet Langør,  or in english Langoer.

With the inspiration from Ailsa and her absolutly worth visting blog
Wheresmybackpack
this is my version of the travel theme this week “Minimalist“.

Around 25 houses broadly all owned by people living outside the island as relaxing houses
previously inhabited by either fishermen or sailing skippers
which with their own small schooners sailed many potatoes from the island to Norway.

Probably the sea gull waiting for the return of good old days..?

Cool warmth

G 27

Warmth can be be many things, simply it can be described as what warms hearts
some might include their toes
this chilly december afternoon at this year’s sixth last day
with a temperature just below the freezing point.
Some might think that warmth so far away,.but also ‘chilly’ colors can warm our hearts.
This view clearly indicates, however imaginary that the world lies ahead of our feet
It must surely warm our hearts – even though the feet probably being cold.

Misty chilly morning

866 003

Early friday morning on the tiny danish island of Samsø with a few degrees below zero
just arrived with the first ferry after an overnight drive from Alsace
1000 km run of 7 hours throughout Germany
most of the danish nature has got a little bit snow through the night.

Except for this little sunshine island in the middle, where only slightly chilly morning mist.
