Lac Noir in Vosges Mountains a lake at Orbey in Alsace (Black Lake in english) .
located at an elevation from sea level of 955 m, its surface area is 0.14 km².
Connection with the slightly larger and slightly higher situated lake, Lac Blanc (White Lake)
through a pipe system with reversible water turbines so the water flow can be both ways.
Lac Noir has been featured in two french films and a TV movie.
Not surprising it has been featured in films. It is such a beautiful setting.
You stole my comment, Colline. 🙂
