View from the ridge “Der Kaiserstuhl” north northeast of the town of Breisach am Rhein
a german town located “on” the bridge over the river Rhine
halfway between the french city of Colmar and the german city of Freiburg.
‘Der Kaiserstuhl’ translated in english says ‘The throne of the Emperor’.
With Odd Ball Challenge (worth visiting Cee) as the inspiring ‘kicker’.
Wow – what a wonderful view.

I didn’t know – probably originally german immigrants brought the name to Australia, or what.? 🙂
I’d say it was the German immigrant presence in the Barossa Valley which has lead to about 80 cellar doors and 150 wineries in that area of South Australia. The Barossa Valley was founded by German settlers fleeing persecution from the Prussian province of Silesia.
Thanks, always interesting with some background knowledge… 🙂
A beautiful view, Drake. Reminds me of my visit there a couple of years ago. 🙂
