Morning has broken a few steps from Place du Tertre, so what’s better than a walk.
My inspiration comes from wonderful “Restlessjo” and her “Monday walk” themes.
A relaxing but small 2nd walk this week in an iconic city.
Sacre Coeur, the morning mist is almost gone.
A perfect day could definitely be strolling casually around
between fascinating architecture and unknown however inspiring people.
While leaving imagination free to grasp the impressions on its own way.
Even Montmartre is the heart of the city of the cities – so the rest is quite attractive too.
Simple and easy, good for what it is to be – be a staircase down the hill – down town.
Cute girls and flowers are closely connected, this’s common knowledge.
This young frenchman had forgotten all about it – his girlfriend hadn’t
so the young man had to rush back in a hurry to correct his forgetfulness.
Every time I walk this way then pops up Victor Hugo, indirectly.
Are any of these Quasimodo and Esmeralda moving away from Notre Dame.?
At this mystery I’ll probably never found the solution.
Another unsolved mystery is all these “happiness-locks” – do they work as intended.?
Here on the way to the Île de la Cité – they are found in many cities.
Why do we never see some nice lovely elder people
who admire the now rusty lock they strung up perhaps 40 years ago.?
The two guys on the bench are clearly not friends.
The cute girl in front flipping frantically in her journey translator
maybe to find out how the french says:
“Un grand latte et un croissant s’il vous plaît”.?
Mentioning coffee, guess what’s next – a large espresso..!
These Paris pictures are excellent.
Thank you for sharing
best wishes

Yes please! It’s always time for coffee 🙂 Drake, you have excelled yourself this morning! I came here to write a post, rather urgently, but who could help but linger in the streets of Paris with you?
I had a lump in my throat because a year ago we were wandering those same streets (I even followed you up Sacre Coeur 🙂 ). Yesterday was our wedding anniversary and the memories came flooding back. Two huge vases of flowers sit on my hearth. I’m a happy and very lucky lady. Thank you very much.

Paris includes so much charming and refreshing atmosphere… 🙂
Time I went back, must be nearly 20 years since I last visited…
Oh, and you wouldn’t find old people looking at their rusty old lock – because these are modern ideas…..😳

Loved your Paris pics and amusing narration, Drake. Yes, those locks are quite an enigma as well as an eyesore. 🙂

Excellentes photos, désolé je ne parle pas Danois, mais le français ne semble pas un problème pour toi je crois…
