The Ceres Well in the danish city of Aarhus.
Commonly known as “The Pigs Well”.
Donated to Aarhus in 1941 by Ceres which was the local brewery.
The sculpture was created by Mogens Bøggild.
Except from winter so it’s a fountain – and very well visited in the middle of the city.
Ever since I was quite small I have been crazy about this sculpture.and actually still is.
Every time when we visited Aarhus, so my mother was towed along to these piglets.
One time when I was about 3 years old, my mother met a friend there.
While ‘the girls’ talked, so I took the opportunity to bathe in the fountain.
I was told that it was forbidden territory for small naughty boys.
