Koblenz is a german city with +100,000 inhabitants,
It lies on the western bank of the Rhine, where the Moselle flows into the Rhine.
Here in the evening, from the hills, easterly to the river Rhine.
The two rivers run together at the landmarks Deutsches Eck,
on which in 1897 a 37 meter high rider statue of Emperor Wilhelm 1 was built.
Short street art walk.
Koblenz was established as a military post by Drusus about 2030 years ago.
All inspired from wonderful “Restlessjo” and her “Monday walk” themes.

The main title relates both a CCR song and that Koblenz in many ways is a corner.
Who’s the boy, Drake? Nice sculptures and another good looking city. I love the night shot! Many thanks to you, hon. 🙂 🙂

There’re so many sculptures in Koblenz, couldn’t show them all. the boy is Der Schängelbrunnen (The Spitting Boy) it’s actually a fountain. The night view is from the east side of river Rhin up hill there’s an old castle. 🙂
So glad you enjoyed the views. 🙂
He doesn’t look that bad-mannered! 🙂 🙂 Thanks, Drake.
The innocent looking people are often the worst. 😀 😀 😀

Visited Koblenz many times, I lived in the moselle valley for two years, in Bitburg. Wonderful photos!

So glad you enjoyed these views. The lastest 10-12 yrs my home is in Kaysersberg in Alsace not far from both Moselle and Rhin. Love the area. 🙂
My father in law is from the Alsace region, incredibly beautiful with a rich history. Enjoyed this very much. Have a lovely day.
The statues are fantastic.
