Color poor january walk along the river Rhine in Basel.
Necessary wall constructions for the slopes to stay where they are.
Wondered that there were actually a few “windows” in that barrier.
That should keep the river out when the water rose (don’t tell the river that).
A kind of inspection path, where it makes a difference which side leaning against.
Furthermore, there was also a door and behind it a staircase up to street level.
