When the tide “rushes” in, it’s time for leaving or stay half a day.
Walk inspired by “Restlessjo” and her captivating “Monday walk” themes.
Le Mont-Saint-Michel is a tidal island very close to Normandy, France.
The island lies about one kilometre off the north-western coast,
at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches and is 7 hectares in area.
In the year of 2019, the island had a population of 29.
Mont Saint-Michel and its surrounding bay
were inscribed on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1979
for its unique aesthetic and importance as a medieval site.
It is visited by more than 3 million people each year.
Over 60 buildings are protected in France as monuments historiques.

I always see this amazing place in Instagram and I always wished I can visit it one day!
More than 3.000.000 visits the place every year, that’s very impressive I think. 🙂
