What is the opposite of horizontal – some say vertical. But it could also be mountains that block or limit the front. Nothing in the way of mountains at all – not even in Calvi Bay.
Remembers an interview read many years ago during a Tour de France. A participating biker who was not known as a “mountain goat on a bike”. The journalist asked him: “Tomorrow the mountains await, what do you think.?” He replied “We’ll sleep on it, maybe the mountains will be gone tomorrow early”. 😀
Yes imho there’s a wonderful bay view from Calvi. 🙂
The biker was known as a very humorous guy. 😀
Once a dane after a stage won the polka spotted jersey (mountain jersey) he expressed “Damn Bjarne has got measles” 😀
Have an old school friend who has lived in Corsica for many years and married locally – of course it must be “used”, therefore the island is often visited. Magnificent nature, wonderful local people and lots of good experiences. 🙂
Agree with you.,
My old friend, we started school together back in Denmark – and have both lived abroad for many many years (neither of us will move back for stay to Denmark). On our first visit to Corsica many years ago, when his local father-in-law asked him what kind of person this friend of his was. He replied to him that “he was the danish answer to a corsican. That is why we are always welcomed with open arms in their home too. 😀 🙂
and they’re beautiful . and refuse to be blocked
