Few steps, large atmosphere

From the harbor of the villlage of Ballen a day of july 2014.

My inspiration comes from wonderful “Restlessjo” and her “Monday walk” themes
this area is perfect for inspiring walking – maybe see the rest of the island by biking.

White or purple bikes tells the locals, what here come some “rent a bike” tourists.

These ladies had made a pit stop at the fisherman’s shop

The warm fried minced fish cakes are magnificent.

A popular newer walkway on the harbor with a funny story, “The Queen’s Walkway”
it was inaugurated in connection with the danish queen was visiting the island
but the queen’s security guards refused to let her go out on the bridge
here 3-4 years after the bridge is still intact and still not collapsed.

Village or not, a place for a nice cup of coffee or a glass of wine is a must.
