Located in the Vosges mountains just west of Sélestat,
situated in a strategic area on a rocky spur overlooking the Upper Rhine Plain.
This castle was built by swiss noble family in the 12th century.
Since then it has had a key strategic position in the area.
Been invaded by changing powers countless times – now mostly by tourists.
