On your own

Morocco on the road.

Always been told that “Life is a road”.
Sometimes a highway, mountain road or secondary road.
We often see what we want to see from the road.
– and sometimes we forget seeing what we can see.

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness.
Just because they’re not on your road
– doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost
*H. Jackson Brown, Jr – american author*

Hit the road

The southern french city of Narbonne has roots very far back in time.
Before hidden, but now visible, cobblestone roads from Roman times tell their story.
The history of ancient highways across Europe.

Petrol stations were not invented, but water stations, from that time.
The taps are somewhat newer.

Navigate from the wheelhouse

All the time we spend finding excuses
can be used more wisely to test even more
all directions has several options
(no I did not drive, was only passenger here)

Study the past if you would define the future
(Confucius – chinese teacher, thinker and social philosopher)

Lack of direction is the problem, not lack of time
we all have twenty-four hour days
(Zig Ziglar – american writer and motivational coach)

The compass rose is nothing but a star
with an infinite number of rays pointing in all directions
it is the one true and perfect symbol of the universe
and it is the one most accurate symbol of you.
Spread your arms in an embrace, throw your head back,
and prepare to receive and send coordinates of being.
Because, at last you know
that you are the navigator, the captain, and the ship
(Vera Nazarian – armenian-russian writer)

Abandoned or disused

A derelict, unused or abandoned iworld
it may be the reality that meets while biking in nature
this ride was on the “border” between Wales and the northwestern England
probably it could be everywhere
first a former (guess so) health institution.

No doubt why this car ended here, the steering wheel to the left yeah tells everything.

It used to be an aircraft hangar.

An offroad road..?

Probably no train for years.

Smoke and mirrors

00 90

An evening at the high speed smoking mirror.

Just as a blind perceive the world around them differently than a sighted
so perceived the world quite differently respectively daylight and artificially light too.

The combination of “smoking water” (fog) and illumination creates mirrors.

Road travel can be a big challenge for all drivers under these conditions
nothing to be panic about but very attention demanding.

This theme is really a travel “smoking” theme
with inspiration from Ailsa’s excellent blog
take a look the challenge here “Where’s my backpack
this’s my version of the theme “Smoke’n mirrors”.
