An old gate out to the world

Svendborg 01

The city of Svendborg
the old danish market and harbor city, with lots of proud seafaring traditions
where one of the world’s largest shipping companies “Maersk” was founded in 1904.

Used a day in this city last week, hadn’t visited it for about 10 years.

The inspiring challenge from the creative “Restlessjo” and her “Monday walk” themes
this area is perfect for inspiring walking with beautiful architecture and surroundings.

when you walk around in the port area.

  1. There’s no doubt about it, Drake! I need to get back to Denmark some day 🙂 This place looks absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing. And for your faithful attention to the ladies 🙂

Ohh yeah I guess you have the same problems like me – there are so many wonderful places visiting and we haven’t all the time we need… 😀

Really do appreciate you enjoyed this little walk… 😉

  2. Wonderful photos of a beautiful, magic city! I like very much thi architecture and this northern atmosphere so far from my usual surroundings… it recalls me a kind of fairy land, that of my childhood readings. Bonne soirée Drake. 🙂

  3. Great walk with you through Svendborg, Drake. I always wanted to visit Svendborg, not only because it is a very beautiful city, but mostly because of Bertolt Brecht who stayed at Skovsbo Strand from 1933-39. It’s high on my list! 🙂
    Ha en fin uke!
    Solhilsen fra tropiske Fredrikstad,

  4. Spot on Drake. Very nice shootings!! 🙂

Even though I´m a Dane, and I visit Svendborg now and then, I´ve truly enjoyed the view from your lense. On top, your sense of humor, gives it a second touch 🙂

Thanks for sharing, and for beeing an inspiration for those monday-walks.
