Time capsules are for the most “turn back time” not the other way around.
If it finally happens then it’s on film – will here try to “turn back to the future”.
Inspired by this week “Time capsule” theme in the “Friendly Friday”.
“Something to ponder about“
From the tunisian oasis town of Tozeur towards the Sahara,
lies the sometimes dried-up salt lake Chott el Djerid.
Close by is a locality that was the setting for the “Star Wars” movies.
Ancient but still a time capsule “back to the future”.
Here the “future” starts.
great shots of time captured
Yeah “lots of sun and sand” – really a fortunate that the childish soul is still hidden under the skin. 😀 😀 😀
You’ve seen some interesting things in your travels. Thanks for sharing with us.
Looking for them everywhere. 😀
I must be one of the few folks who haven’t seen the Star Wars movie. How fun visiting those places that were once movie sets. Thanks for joining the Friendly Friday Challenge.
So we at least are two how hanen’t seen them, but I have seen these “empty” backdrops in the desert south of Tezeur several times during the years. 🙂
Yay – at least we have that in common, N. What sort of movies do you generally like? Any particular genre? And don’t say musicals! Lol.
Depends on the “present” mood, so actually all kinds – musicals too. 😀 Not too much science fiction. 😀
🙂
That camel sure looks wary!
Guess you are right – most of the time they seems very calm. 🙂
Have you ridden on one before? Is it very different from riding a horse?
Yes several times in Tunisia but never a camel “only” dromedaries – it walks like the Icelandic horses (and the brown bear too). That is, it moves the legs on the same side at the same time. 🙂
